After Dim Sum at Jade Garden in the International District, we needed to pick up a last minute birthday cake.  My friend suggested we go to A Piece Of Cake.  I have driven by this place before but never stopped in to check it out.  But what a great hidden spot!

When you walk in you are greeted by the faint smell of sweetness, and bright vivid colors!  Once your eyes focus on the cases full of cakes, it's so hard to pick just one!

Whole Cakes!

The flavors are vast, and they range from the traditional chocolate and vanilla, to exotic Asian treats like Green Tea and Honeydew Melon.  Each cake is decorated beautifully, most with fruits that look so sweet and fresh!

More Whole Cakes!

We settled on a Chocolate and Vanilla Cheesecake, and it was amazing.  It had layers of chocolate spongecake, and a layer of a very very light cheesecake.  It was fantastic!  The cakes are around $30 each and are about 10-12 slices per cake.

Cakes by the slice!

You can also stop in for a slice of cake, and the prices range from $3.50-$3.75 per slice.  They had so many to choose from, I'm looking forward to going back for the next birthday cake I need!  There's also a great selection of fruit tarts... mmm!

There's also a ton of other baked goods, but we were here specifically for a cake.  I can't believe I have never stopped in here before.. They had everything from Cannoli to cookies to baked buns filled with beans, and loaves of bread.

I will definitely make my way back to this cute little bakery in the near future!
