Nordstrom Rack - Splendid Bias Rugby Cardigan, Manolo Blahnik Camo Sedarabys

There is something exciting about finding a great deal at the Rack. Additionally, there's something that bugs the hell out of me when I pay full price for something at Nordstrom, only to find it go on sale at the Rack soon after.

I have a shoe addiction - yes I do. Some shoes I have that I just look at - but I am still waiting for the perfect outfit or opportunity to wear the shoes. How many pairs of shoes you ask? At least 250, but who's counting? I am sure there are some women out there that have double what I have. Don't worry, I'm catching up!

Anthropologie - Juerga Gathering Skirt, Hide and Slink Pumps, and Hellebore Skirt

Anthropologie Knitted & Knotted Juerga Gathering Skirt $49.95 (reg. $158)

So, to be honest, practicality wise, I have no where to wear this skirt. It's a sweater skirt with ruffles of chiffon and crocheted lace and it's beautiful. Being that I'm not a skinny girl, I worried that this would add volume to my hips and thighs, but I ordered it anyways. I saw it in a small at the Downtown Seattle Anthropologie and they were able to find it in my size in California. I had it sent to me, (shipping is free if they can't find the size you need locally!) and as soon as I tried it on, I fell in love. I am hoping to wear this on Valentine's Day - if we go out.. we might stay in.. I think my SO is going to have to take me somewhere to warrant the purchase of this beautiful skirt! Now what to wear with it??

All Saints - Night Florals Mini Dress

I don't know if it's the gloomy weather or the great after holiday sales, but I seem to shop a lot in January every year! You'll notice a trend, but I love to find great deals on things that I buy - I will pay full price if I absolutely LOVE something - but if I can find something I love and it's on sale, I'm thrilled!
So a few weeks ago, I posted about my trip to Vegas - and the Night Florals Mini Dress at All Saints Spitalfields - well, lucky me! I found it on sale at the Seattle store in my size! I was so excited, again, shopping euphoria hit! It's funny how something you thought was $640 goes on sale for $130 makes it feel like you got an amazing deal!

Review - Serious Pie - South Lake Union

Serious Pie - South Lake Union

In my opinion, pizza is available in at least 4 different categories.  1 - Delivery, 2 - Frozen, 3 - Traditional Italian, and 4 - Gourmet. Tom Douglas's Serious Pie falls in to category 4.

Nine West - Debutante Sandals, Verbenia Booties

Nine West Debutante Sandals $32 (reg. $89.95)

These shoes are listed as dark gray, but in my opinion, they are definitely closer to brown, and the red part is definitely darker than the photo. They are comfortable considering the height due to the double platform. I love shoes that make me taller than I really am! (Only 5'4", so these pump me up to about 5'8"!) At $32 I decided to buy both colors, the brown/mustard combo is actually my favorite of the two:

Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc Fried Chicken

Let me preface this by saying, although I am a fairly skilled cook, I am not a chef - I contemplated going to culinary school when I was in High School, but I hated HS so much, I had no desire to go back to school at all - Truth be told, I still have no desire to go back to school. I could barely make it to a pottery class I signed up for.

I have never made fried chicken before - I think it's partially the guilt involved with making anything deep fried, and also not understanding how to get the crispy flakes. I've tried some really gross home made fried chicken, and always preferred getting a bucket of Ezell's or even KFC. Then for my birthday, I received Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc At Home cookbook. My SO and I dined at Ad Hoc back in September and really loved it, so I was excited to give some of the recipes a try! I'd heard about TK's famous Fried Chicken Monday nights, but unfortunately we weren't there on a Monday.

New Year, New Clothes!

I love to shop - well, correction, I love fabulous clothes.  I'll make a splurge every now and then, but really, I love finding great deals on the clothes I buy.  I care about the quality of my clothes, and I can be a bit of a label whore at times.  But this doesn't prevent me from buying basics at the Gap or Old Navy - and one of my favorite places to shop is Anthropologie.  I can be a girly girl and I even have a wanna be rockstar style at times too.  I don't stick to fashion guidelines, I try to just be myself.
