Review - Fleur by Hubert Keller - Las Vegas, NV

Fleur by Hubert Keller

I remember dining here when It was Fleur de Lys, Chef Hubert Keller has transformed this into a more casual restaurant serving smaller plates.  If you are looking for a substantial meal, this probably isn't the place to go - the servings are small and I'd recommend ordering 2-3 dishes for a lighter lunch.

Onion Soup $7

We started our meal with the Onion Soup Veloute with Truffle Oil.  It's served in a little metal pitcher with shot glasses for sipping.  The soup is rich and creamy with the subtle flavor of truffle.  It was rich and full of flavor.  I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't order this.

Fig Flambe $11

Then the Fig FlambĂ© with Fig Jam, Pancetta and Bleu Cheese arrived.. Perfectly cooked flatbread topped with pureed fig and roasted figs.  The flavor of the Bleu cheese was predominant with the sweetness from the figs at the finish.  It was perfectly crispy and great for sharing!

Gnocchi $16

I also had the Gnocchi with San Marzano Fondue, Olive Oil and Sea Salt.  They were really soft and chewy potato gnocchi. The shape wasn't traditional, these were pillow shaped squares.  The san marzano tomato sauce was light and mixed with dollops of pesto.  Fresh Parmesan was grated on top.  I am not sure why the call it San Marzano Fondue - nothing about this dish was fondue.

H K Burger $18

The burger is probably one of the more substantial plates on the menu - the fries were ok, but not really great... I didn't try the burger, it looked good.

Chef Hubert Keller greeting diners...

I love this place for a light lunch, the plates are all really great for sharing! Also, I love that we saw him today - awesome that he casually greets people and converses with his fans!  We didn't talk to him, just a smile and a Thank You as we left.
