Review - Mr. Gyros - Seattle, WA

Mr. Gyros

I love this place!  This is our go to spot for Gyros!  There are two locations, one on Greenwood, and a newer location in Ballard.   The Ballard location is much bigger than the original Greenwood spot, and we live right in between the two.  I actually prefer the Greenwood location for takeout, Ballard is good if you plan to dine in since there is more seating.

The lighting at the Ballard location is awful, unless you like bright fluorescent lighting, so we tend to go to the Greenwood spot more frequently.  Before I go on to the food, I have to point out the awesome service.  Do these guys ever have a bad day? They are ALWAYS so sweet, cheerful and upbeat at BOTH locations!  They make you feel welcome, and as if they truly appreciate your being there.  I always leave with a smile.  Maybe I'm just not used to really great customer service?  I don't know, but these boys have hit it, spot on!

The menu is simple, and they are super fast at preparing the food!  I have yet to try anything I didn't love here... You really can't go wrong.  And if you have questions about the menu items, they are happy to answer!

After you place your order, the pita hits the grill, and the boys move super fast as if it's a race.  I'm always impressed at how quick they are, so a line out the door means it's not going to be as long as it appears!

Chicken Gyro $4.99

My favorite is the Chicken Gyro sandwich, with the Lamb Gyro a close second.  Stuffed full of fresh cucumber, onions, lettuce and tomatoes.  It's such a refreshing meal, I don't think I could get bored of these!

Greek Fries $1.95

So this pic is a little deceiving.  This portion of greek fries is for four - and for $1.95 you get soda and fries added to your sandwich.  Yum!  They sprinkle oregano and feta cheese on top... They fries are good, but you have to eat them fast, before they get cold...

Greek Salad $6.39

Again, refreshing!  Chunks of cucumber, tomato, lettuce, onions with kalamata olives and pepperoncini peppers.  It's a decent sized salad, so great for sharing with the fries and sandwiches.

Do they have the best gyro in town?  Hmm.. maybe not.  But it's the level of service and the speed that keeps us coming back over and over!
