Definitely a hole in the wall, but the food isn't too bad! They have a big selection of Benedicts for brunch, everything from the standard Eggs Benedict with Black Forest Ham, to Prime Rib Benedict on special!
Spicy Crawfish Benedict $10.25
I had the Spicy Crawfish Benedict. Two english muffins topped high with crawfish in a spicy and tangy sauce. The eggs were poached perfectly, and the hollandaise was ok. It wasn't too lemony, but it was a little thick. Baby red homefries are served on the side. The potatoes were ok, a little soft.
In a city with an abundance of brunch spots, and lines outside of places like the Dish, this place is totally overlooked. The Dish is actually not very good, so I still can't understand the lineup outside of that place every single weekend.
I haven't been to Bad Albert's for anything other than brunch. But brunch is pretty solid, it's not fancy, and it's a little overpriced for the establishment, but I am down with supporting local business, especially if they are in my neighborhood!
